Yes. We can help you choose a domain name for your site, establish hosting services,
register your domain name and transfer the name to the new web server, and then begin the
website design. We will also register your new URL (website address) with major
Internet search engines to include AltaVista, Google, InfoSeek, Excite, Lycos, WebCrawler,
HotBot and Yahoo search directories.

There is a small fee to register your domain name and transfer the domain name to a
webserver. For example, register.com will register your name, transfer it to your
contracted webserver, and provide additional services for $35. There are also Hosting
Services that are required for your website. Please click the “hosting
services” button to the left to learn more about this topic.

There are several disadvantages to using your ISP’s hosting service. You may be
required to pay additional fees in order to use your own domain name. CGI
scripting, required for pages that include form input, may not be supported. Disk
space restrictions will apply. Others ISPs may require you to use an internal
design service run by the ISP. This could severely affect the layout and
functionality of your website. Those visiting your website may think that you are
not serious about your campaign or office if they see you are using a free hosting
service without a personal domain name. Email redirection (addressed in the next
question) may not be supported. Lastly, Internet Service Providers specialize in
providing Internet access to people, and not necessarily in hosting websites. This
may result in unreliable service, prone to sudden failure without adequate customer

You do not need to alter your existing E-mail address in order to receive messages sent
to an E-mail account associated with your new domain. The hosting service can create
an E-mail redirection facility that receives messages and then forwards them to your
standard email account with your own ISP. For example, suppose you register a domain
name of “doe4congress.com” and establish an associated E-mail account of
john@doe4congress.org. Let’s also suppose that you have a personal
E-mail account of john_doe@yahoo.com. You could have your hosting service create an
E-mail alias that would forward all E-mail received by john@doe4congress.org to

Please send us all of your photos or literature associated with you campaign. If you
have other images you would like to use, please make sure they are royalty free. If
you know what theme or message you want to portray for a particular page, we can provide
the graphics and customize them for your website. Be careful—much of the free
graphics available on the internet will detract from the professionalism of your site.

During the initial consultation, we will define your goals and objectives, functional
needs, intended audience and other special requirements associated with your desired
web presence. This will allow us to identify the content that you will be providing
for each web page See the “getting started” tab to the upper-left for more details.
Your input is essential to creating a successful website, since you have a better feel for
who it is you want to reach with your website. We welcome ideas that you can provide
at each stage of the design and encourage you to look as other political websites for
ideas that might apply to your own (please see the “links” tab to the upper-left for
more details.) We will want any logos, photos or campaign literature that you may have
created. We will also be happy to spruce up any special graphics that are royalty free

Text can be sent in the body of an E-mail message or as an attachment as a Word document
or using plain text (unformatted). Photo’s are preferred in JPG (JPEG) format, and
graphical images are preferred in JPG, GIF, or TIFF format. Other formats are
available and should be approved in advance in order to reduce extra time and expense that
may result. Files may also be submitted on a floppy disk or CD.

We will create a virtual office to where only you will have access. You will be able
to see progress and updates to your website made daily, allowing you to provide feedback
and giving you control to steer the project in the desired direction. Our experience

things you can do:
· Advertise your URL on TV, Radio, Internet, and in Print Media. This will include
all campaign literature and brochures, statements, billboards, signs (yes, lawn signs
too), etc.
· Put your URL on Business Cards, FAX Cover Sheets, Letterheads, and all E-mails and
business correspondences.
· Post your URL in appropriate bulletin boards and news groups.

There are about 30-50 major search engines on the Internet with thousands of other
websites competing in this market. Even when procedures are correctly followed to
register your domain with a search engine, there are no guarantees that any site will be
listed correctly, or that it will be done in a timely manner. For the most part,
registration with any search engine can be done without any special expertise. Most
search engine websites will provide a link to do this and walk you through the process.
